Christmas is here.

But Christmas will only mean hope if we always put CHRIST first in CHRISTmas. Get it?

Last year, Christmas was bleak because of the pandemic. We were stripped of a lot of things – lights, food, gifts, parties, and all those things that Christmas brings.

Yet, in our having nothing CHRIST became everything.

Now, we see and claim that things are getting better. Things seem to be going back to normal, including the traffic, shopping, malling and the Christmas rush. (We pray that the omicron variant won’t gravely affect us and bring us back to lockdowns.)

But hopefully, the “gains” of seeing Christ more remains. It’s ok to bring back the lights, food, gifts, parties and all as long as Christ is the one magnified! After all, it is His Birthday!

Again, it is only with CHRIST that we shall see real HOPE in all these, especially for the coming New Year!

To make things light and hopeful, let me share this Christmas classic song which lyrics I tweaked for fun. Sing along and proclaim that JESUS is and should always be the Reason for the Season.

Capital C – is for Covid-19 sumalanta sa ‘tin
